You can upload JPEG, PNG, and WebP images up to 10 MB. The output format is chosen independently — PNG for lossless quality, JPEG for smaller files, or WebP for modern web use. HEIC files are not accepted directly; please convert them first using our HEIC to JPEG tool.

The scale factor determines how many times larger the output image will be. A 2× upscale doubles both width and height (4× total pixels), 3× triples them, and 4× quadruples them. For example, a 1000×750 photo upscaled at 4× becomes 4000×3000 pixels.

Processing typically takes 10–30 seconds depending on image size, chosen scale, and server load. Larger images or higher scale factors take longer. The Lite model is the fastest option.

Yes. To keep the service fair and available to all users, each device is limited to 5 upscale requests per hour. The limit resets automatically after 60 minutes.

Yes! AI upscaling works especially well on low-resolution photos, old scanned images, and compressed screenshots. The AI reconstructs fine details that were lost in compression, resulting in a sharper, cleaner image.
